Submission by GRIC Veterans & Family Services Office

The Veteran and Family Services Office (VFSO) is located at 264 S. Bluebird Rd. behind the fire station. We provide a variety of services to Veterans and their families. Our most often requested services are filing disability claims and claims for surviving spouses. We can assist Veterans requesting replacement DD214s or ordering military government headstones. If you are interested in finding out what you may be eligible for as a Veteran, surviving spouse or for minor aged dependent children, please make an appointment and we will review the benefits with you. Please let us know of any elderly Veterans that may require well-check visits. If you would like us to keep a copy of your DD214 on file, you may bring it in for us to scan (no appointment is necessary). We will not keep originals or hard copies. You may submit your DD214 by email to kimberly.skelton.vfso@gric.nsn.us

This includes flag folding and presentation, 21 gun salute and the playing of Taps. Your family must provide a DD214 to show eligibility for this to occur.

Please make sure your family knows where your DD214 is located or have a copy on file with our office.
