The Community Council Election is May 2. Community members seeking to run for Community Council have until Monday, March 6 to declare their candidacy.
Members nominated to run for Council have five days after their district has made the nomination official to notify the Tribal Elections Office.
Voters are encouraged to register as soon as possible and make sure all their information is correct – name, address, et cetera. April 3 is the voter registration deadline.
17-year-olds turning 18 years of age on May 2 or before that date are eligible to register to vote in this election. Call the Tribal Elections Office at (520) 562-9735 for information on how to get registered.
Absentee voting begins April 10, and will close May 1. May 2 is Election Day. Council seats are open in Districts 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6, but not in 2 or 7.
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
