District One (Blackwater):

No Incidents Involving Part 1 Crime

 

District Two (Sacaton Flats):

No Incidents Involving Part 1 Crime

 

District Three (Sacaton):

Aggravated Assault – Officers were dispatched to the Department of Rehabilitation and Supervision (DRS) in reference to an inmate wanting to report an assault. Contact was made with the subject who stated that an incident had occurred prior to being arrested. The suspect had strangled the victim for approximately three minutes. The suspect and victim were in a prior relationship and the suspect became upset due to action within the relationship. A minor scratch was located on the victim’s person. The suspect was located and questioned about the incident.  

Status: Under investigation

 

Aggravated Assault – Officers were dispatched to a residence in reference to unknown trouble. The investigation revealed the suspect became upset and threw a house phone in the general direction of the victim. The phone struck the victim in the facial area causing a two to four inch laceration. The suspect was arrested and admitted to the incident. 

Status: Suspect was booked into jail

 

District Four (Stotonic Area): 

Theft – Officers were dispatched to the residence in reference to a theft. Upon the officer’s arrival the victim stated the suspect arrived at her residence and asked for some water. When the victim went inside to get water the suspect grabbed the victim’s tablet and left the area. Attempts were made to locate the suspect and yielded in negative results, follow ups to be conducted.  

Status: Under Investigation

 

Lone Butte Area: 

Auto Theft – Police spoke to a victim reference a vehicle theft which occurred at Love’s Truck Stop earlier in the day. Through further investigation it was discovered the suspect stole a vehicle belonging to the victim and left the premises without permission. The vehicle was later impounded by Maricopa PD and the suspect was arrested for another offense outside of GRIC. 

Status:  Charges forwarded to law office. 

 

Theft – Officers were dispatched a store at the Phoenix Premium Outlets in reference to a shoplifting that had just occurred. The store manager stated that the male suspect entered the store and selected a jacket from the display. The suspect then proceeded to put the jacket on. After a few minutes he puts his personal jacket on over the one from the display. The suspect then proceeded to walk out of the store, passing the point of sale without paying for the jacket.

 Status:  Pending further suspect information

 

Theft – Suspect(s) climbed over a fence and entered through a door on a storage shed. The suspect removed a black chain saw and circular saw belonging to the caretaker of the Church grounds. 

Status:  Under Investigation

 

Theft – Officers responded to the residence in reference to a theft of bicycles. Upon the officer’s arrival contact was made with the reporting party. Two bikes were taken from the front porch of the residence. The victim reported seeing both bicycles on the porch the night before and they were then gone by morning. 

Status: Under Investigation

 

Theft – Police responded to the Wild Horse Pass Casino in reference to a theft. Through further investigation it was discovered the victim reported to have left several of her travel bags and items in a male subject’s vehicle, who she knew for approximately a month. Attempts were made to locate the male subject however, they were unsuccessful.

District Five (Casa Blanca):

No Incidents Involving Part 1 Crime

 

District Six (Komatke):

Theft – Officers were dispatched to Vee Quiva Casino in reference to a stolen ticket. Contact was made with casino staff who stated that the suspect cashed a ticket belonging to another casino patron. The suspect denied taking a ticket but was subsequently placed under arrest for the theft of the money. The suspect was booked into Fourth Avenue Jail. 

Status: Suspect was arrested and booked into jail

 

District Seven (Maricopa):

Aggravated Assault – Officers were dispatched to a domestic call. The investigation revealed the suspect struck the victim three times with a metal pole and struck a second victim with the same pole once. After the original altercation the suspect threw a knife at one of the victims as well. The suspect was arrested and booked into Department of Rehabilitation and Supervision (DRS). 

Status: Suspect was booked into jail

 

Incident Log October 28, 2018 – November 03, 2018

Gila River Police officers responded to 618 calls for service and made 44 arrests.

 

District One:

Aggravated Assault – The suspect and victim were involved in an altercation inside their residence. The suspect punched the victim in the face causing lacerations around the victim’s eye.  The suspect left the scene prior to police arrival and the victim went to a neighbor’s residence to obtain help. Gila River Emergency Medical Services arrived on scene and transported her to a local hospital for further medical care. 

Status: Under Investigation.

 

 

District Two: 

No Incidents Regarding Part 1 Crime.

 

District Three:

Aggravated Assault – The suspect and victim were in a verbal domestic altercation in front of a family member’s residence. During the altercation the suspect became aggressive several items at the victim. The items struck the victim’s vehicle that was occupied by three juvenile children. Additionally, the suspect brandished a large kitchen knife during the altercation and used it to intimidate the victim. Law enforcement was notified and responded to investigate. The suspect left on foot prior to police arrival but was later located by officers.

Status: Suspect was arrested and booked into DRS.

 

 Theft – Suspect(s) entered a computer area during normal operation hours and stole a laptop from the facility. The suspect(s) placed the computer outside of a fence to later retrieve the item. Law enforcement was notified by employees upon finding the laptop missing from the facility.

Status: Under investigation.

 

District Four:

(Stotonic Area)

Aggravated Assault – The suspect assaulted the victim by striking her with a closed fist and hitting her once with the butt end of a pocket knife. These actions caused a laceration requiring stitches in the left side of her mouth along the gum line. The officer’s were able to locate the suspect hiding inside of the residence.

Status: Suspect was arrested and booked into jail.

 

Aggravated Assault – The suspect shot the victim as he was walking in between houses towards his place of residence. A vehicle was heard speeding away from the subdivision. Law enforcement was notified and responded to investigate. Gila River Emergency Medical Services arrived on scene, and transported the victim to a local trauma hospital for further treatment of his injuries.

Status: Under investigation.

 

 (Lone Butte / WHP Area) 

Auto Theft – Suspect(s) stole the victim’s black 2000 Ford F350 pickup truck from the parking lot of the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort.

Status: Stolen vehicle has been recovered by the Gila River Police Department.

 

Burglary – Suspect(s) made entry into a store at the Phoenix Premium Outlet by manipulating the main door lock. Once inside suspect(s) disabled the alarm and took approximately 800-900 designer watches. Surveillance video was obtained during the initial investigation. A detective has been assigned to this case.

Status: Under investigation.

 

Theft – Suspect(s) made entry into a parked vehicle belonging to the victim at the Lone Butte Casino. Suspect(s) stole currency from the middle console of the vehicle.

Status: Under investigation.

 

Shoplifting – Suspect entered a store at the Phoenix Premium Outlets and stole merchandise. The suspect entered the dressing room with shirts and sweat shirts. When the suspect exited the dressing room they no longer had one of the white shirts. As the suspect exited the store they set off the theft alarm. 

Status: Under investigation.

 

Shoplifting – The suspect entered a store located within the Phoenix Premium Outlets and concealed several items. The suspect then left the store without paying for the merchandise and triggered the theft alarm. Law enforcement was notified and officers responded to investigate.

Status: Under investigation.

 

Shoplifting - Suspect(s) entered a store located inside the Phoenix Premium Outlets and removed security tags from several items and concealed them in their shopping bags. The suspects were confronted by security at which time one of the suspects emptied their bag of the stolen merchandise. However, the second suspect did not and when pressed by security became aggressive and would not cooperate. Law enforcement was notified and officers responded to investigate.

District Five:

Aggravated Assault – The suspect drove their SUV towards the victim who had left their residence on their bicycle. After a verbal exchange the suspect ran the victim off the roadway causing him to fall off his bicycle. This incident was observed by a Pinal County Sheriff’s Deputy who contacted the Gila River Police Department. Officers responded to investigate and were able to locate the suspect.

Status: Suspect was arrested and booked into jail.

 

District Six:

Burglary – Suspect(s) entered a residence and stole a television from the victim while they were away from an extended amount of time. The victim arrived home and found the TV missing and her home in disarray. 

Status: Under investigation.

 

Burglary - Suspect(s) used force to enter a boarded duplex by physically forcing the door to open. They entered and damaged the ceilings, walls, and entrance doors to get the copper wiring. 

Status: Under investigation.

 

Theft – The suspect entered an employee only area behind a bar, took a bottle of liquor which he drank from, then concealed in his backpack.  He later returned to the bar and gave back the bottle of liquor. The suspect left prior to police arrival. 

Status: Under investigation.

 

Burglary – Suspect(s) forced entry into a building by breaking through a door and stole multiple items to include electronics. Upon discovery, the victim notified law enforcement and officers responded to investigate.

Status: Under investigation.

 

District Seven:
