Gov. Lewis Recognized at Collegiate Basketball Game

Gov. Stephen Roe Lewis was recognized Dec. 9th on behalf of the Gila River Indian Community and Gila River Hotels & Casinos for the Community’s ongoing support of athletics at Arizona State University.
Before tipoff of the men’s basketball game against Grand Canyon University at the Desert Financial Arena, Gov. Lewis made his way on the court and was presented with a basketball signed by Arizona Sun Devils head basketball coach Bobby Hurley.
The ball was presented to Gov. Lewis by in-game host Jorden Spurgeon and ASU mascot Sparky the Sun Devil. The Sun Devils took the win over the Grand Canyon Antelopes with 67-62.
