Big Brother Big Sisters Arizona

On Friday April 9, 2021 Big Brother Mentor/Officer James Milano was recognized as the Site Based Big of the Year at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona’s Big Night Out Event in Phoenix. The program was attended by many, both online and in-person, and honored the impact of mentorship and the unlimited possibilities it can create for the youth in our community.

Officer Milano has been a volunteer Big Brother in the Gila River Site Based mentoring program at the Sacaton Boys & Girls Club for over 3 years and currently mentors two Little Brother Mentees from the Gila River community.

Milano was recognized for his consistent positive influence with his Littles and efforts to help promote the program within the Gila River Police Department and community at large. The Gila River Police Department, Sacaton Boys & Girls Club and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona congratulate Big Brother Mentor/Officer James Milano on being selected as this year’s Site Based Big of the Year!
