GRIN Welcomes New Student Intern

GRIN Intern 

I enjoy nothing more than a good story and representation of Native Communities. I, Joseph Morales of the San Lucy District, Tohono O’odham Nation, will now be able to do that. I am happy to share with the Community that I will be an intern with Gila River Indian News (GRIN).

I am currently a full-time student at Tohono O’odham Community College (TOCC). I hope to obtain my associate in liberal arts this fall and transfer to an in-state university. In the future I wish to obtain my bachelor’s degree in English, Media/Journalism or Native American Studies.

Representing Indigenous people is important to me. I will always strive my best to incorporate that into my educational and career goals. I am excited about this opportunity to work with the Community. I look forward to meeting members at future events.
